New book reveals Clinton thinks Obama 'incompetent' and struck deal for Hillary 2016

It seems that former president Bill Clinton doesn't think much of the current administration. In fact, according to a new book called The Amateur, Clinton never thought Barack Obama would ever be capable of leading the country at all.

But, as author Edward Klein says in the explosive book which was released on Monday, June 3, that didn't stop Clinton from establishing a deal in which he'd endorse Obama for the presidency if Obama would in turn endorse Hillary Rodham Clinton for the coveted spot during the 2016 election.

Klein's book was published by Washington DC's Regnery, a conservative publisher that "[s]pecializes in books which celebrate American individualism and self-reliance" and in those that are "contrary to those of 'mainstream' publishers in New York." Past books of Regnery's were penned by such provocative conservative pundits as Ann Coulter and Newt Gingrich.

Klein himself is a bestselling author who has written about both Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton in the past, as well as the Kennedy family. He was the foreign editor at Newsweek and was also the Editor-In-Chief of the New York Times Magazine.

Despite Klein's prestigious credentials, he has previously been criticized by both liberals and fellow conservatives alike for possible factual errors and unseemly bias in distorting quotes.

Klein's 2005 book The Truth About Hillary: What She Knew, When She Knew It, and How Far She'll Go to Become President was attacked by Politico as basically being a smear job that contains "serious factual errors, truncated and distorted quotes and overall themes [that] don't gibe with any other serious accounts of Clinton's life."

That all aside, Klein's latest book (as relayed by the New York Post) claims that sources revealed to the author that Clinton once quipped, "I've heard more from Bush, asking for my advice, than I've heard from Obama. I have no relationship with the president - none whatsoever. Obama doesn't know how to be president. He doesn't know how the world works. He's incompetent. He's an amateur."

Clinton was nevertheless nudged by David Axelrod, a political advisor who was concerned about Republican contender Mitt Romney's rising numbers in the 2012 election, to endorse Obama, at which time -- Klein's book alleges -- the secret quid pro quo deal was struck.

Whether or not the claims made in Klein's book are true, the Post points out that considering the recent scandals that have rocked Obama's administration as of late (such as IRS venality and the Benghazi affair), perhaps any deal Clinton made with Obama might be useless now anyway.
