Xiaomi Mi Note 3 Retail Box Leaks Ahead of September 11 Release

Xiaomi is all set to launch its highly-anticipated Mi Note 3 and Mi Mix 2 handsets at the forthcoming event on September 11 in China. The company's president had recently confirmed the same via Weibo.

A couple of Mi Note 3's retail box images have now surfaced on Twitter, confirming several of the rumored features for the flagship handset. A closer look at the image, clearly confirms the 'Note 3' moniker on the front along with Xiaomi's Mi logo at the top right corner of the box.

Given these obvious clues, it is clear that the retail box pertains to a Mi Note 3 device. Meanwhile, a bunch of key specs and features for the handset can be seen on the back side of the box.

It is clearly evident that the Mi Note 3 will feature a premium glass panel at the back, besides featuring a Snapdragon 660SoC and a dual camera setup. The retail packaging box also confirms 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage on the handset as per the description at the bottom on its back side.

Among other rumored specs, the Mi Note 3 is expected to be powered by MIUI 9 skin and run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. However, Xiaomi is expected to bring Android Oreo update for all of its newest smartphones including the Mi Note 3 and Mi Mix 2, as the industrious Android custom ROM developers have already released the Oreo based LineageOS 15 ROM for numerous Xiaomi devices including Redmi 2, Redmi 3, Mi 5S and Mi Mix.
