HTC One Max (T6) specs leak : 5.9-inch display, 2.3GHz processor and more

Rumors surrounding HTC's impending phablet, dubbed the HTC T6, have been swirling online for sometime now. Now, new information regarding the handset have surfaced online, including specs and features, and it suggests that device will be called the HTC One Max instead.

According to a Geeky-Gadgets report "HTC are working on a phablet device, which has been previously known as the HTC T6, and now we have some more details on the handset which will apparently be called the HTC One Max."

Reports have also suggested that the HTC One Max will debut in Q3 2013. This information was courtesy of DigiTimes' sources which let on that "with HTC planning to launch a number of new models, including the HTC One mini, HTC Butterfly S, HTC One Max as well as new models of its HTC Desire family, in the third quarter, the company is expected to post third-quarter revenues of NT$80-85 billion."

The HTC One Max aka T6 is speculated to feature a 5.9-inch Full HD display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution. A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz is expected to power the phablet. The HTC One Max will likely have 2GB of RAM, a 3300mAh battery and an UltraPixel camera. The HTC smartphone may also have "BoomSound" speakers.

Geeky-Gadgets  notes that "the HTC One Max will come with Android Jelly Bean, either in the form of Android 4.2.2 or the yet to be announced Android 4.3, we do not have any pictures of the device, although it is rumored to feature a similar design to the HTC One."

The HTC One Max is expected to sport a similar design to that of the flagship HTC One, including the aluminum unibody case.

We recently reported that the HTC One Mini and HTC Butterfly S will hit the shelves soon. It seems that HTC has a gamut of smartphones lined up to take on rivals, especially Samsung. The HTC One Max seems targeted at the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, so it will be interesting to see if the phablets go neck-to-neck just like the flagships.
