Transformers 4: Lamborghini Aventador rolls out with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee

Aside from casting Kelsey Grammer, Stanely Tucci, and Mark Wahlberg for the latest Transformers movie flick, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 was also casted by director Michael Bay to be part of the Transformer 4 movie that will hit the big screen in 2014.

"Unveiling yet another surprise... the extraordinary and exhilarating 2013 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Coupe," declared Bay on his personal blog.

It is not clear yet whether the Lamboghini Aventador will join the Autobots or the Decepticons. The automotive blog Edmunds reported of speculations that the Lamborghini Aventador might play the role of Sideswipe, an Autobot at first but turned against its leader, Optimus Prime, and sided with the Decepticons. The Aventador will be a very aggressive Decepticon given that the supercar has a 6.5-liter V-12 powerplant that can crank out 691 HP.

The Lamborghini Aventador is not a greenhorn when it comes to the movie industry. It has appeared before on "The Dark Knight Rises" where it was stolen by the Catwoman.

Meanwhile, prior to the announcement of the Lambo joining the Transformers in Hollywood, the director has also casted the 1,200-HP  Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, considered as the fastest convertible in the market today.

Another fast car called by Bay to fill a role is the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.

"Special-race inspired 7 Corvette Stingray," the director described the latest iteration of the Corvette.

The Transformers director also tapped a military truck produced by Oshkosh Defense that will play the role of Hound, an Autobot. A Western Star truck will be portraying the vehicle mode of Optimus Prime.

MotorAuthority reported that there will also be a 1967 Camaro SS by Chevrolet that will be the car mode of Bumblebee, replacing the fifth generation Camaro used in the first three installments of "Transformers."

The "Transformers 4" is expected to be released on June 27, 2014. The newest movie of the Transformers franchise will be set four years after the events shown on "Transformers 3 - Dark of the Moon."

Elsewhere, the supercar manufacturer reported that the 2,000th Aventador has rolled out of the production line only two years since its introduction to the market. Its cousin, the Murcielago was able to achieve the same feat five years into its production.
