Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-Advanced to feature Snapdragon 800 processor

Samsung's best-selling flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4, is slated to come in more variants, one of which is the LTE-Advanced version. Now a leaked user manual of the Galaxy S4 LTE-Advanced reveals that the smartphone will pack in Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, which is clocked at 2.3GHz.

The LTE-Advanced version of the Galaxy S4 came into the limelight earlier this week when JK Shin revealed that "the new LTE-Advanced (4G) phone will be another addition to our high-end segment offerings that ensure healthy profit margins."

Now Japamese blog RBMen has managed to lay its hands on the user manual of the LTE-Advanced, which is apparently headed to Korea.

"Samsung has released a user manual GALAXY S4 LTE-Advanced of (SHV-E330) on the official page. Detailed specifications have been observed," notes RBMen (translated).

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 variant touts the model number SHV-E330 and has an MSM8974 processor per the user manual. This means that the LTE-Advanced variant of the popular Samsung flagship will be the first smartphone to debut with Snapdragon 800 SoC.

The leaked manual also reveals that the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE-Advanced will tout a 4.99-inch FHD AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The smartphone will feature a 13-megapixel primary camera, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of on-board storage and pack in a 2,600mAh battery. The device will physically resemble the Galaxy S4 and come pre-loaded with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The latest processor from Qualcomm will make the LTE-Advanced variant of the Galaxy S4 faster than the original smartphone which runs on Snapdragon 600 SoC. Moreover, added support for LTE-Advanced will enable the smartphone to transmit data nearly two times faster than the normal speeds.

It is unlikely that the Galaxy S4 Advanced-LTE will release outside of South Korea, per reports.
