Video of Nokia Lumia 920 running Windows Phone 8.1 leaks online

The Nokia Lumia 920 has been spotted running the impending Windows Phone 8.1 aka Windows Blue update. The leaked video has been posted on YouTube and shows a white variant of the Lumia 920 running the yet-to-be release Windows Phone 8.1 update, believed to be a beta version.

According to a WMPoweruser report, "we have a possible video of a very early beta of Windows Phone 8.1 running on a Nokia Lumia 920. The video shows new interactive live tiles and the new notification center."

Windows Phone 8.1 or Windows Blue is said to be a landmark update for the platform. However, previous reports have hinted that Microsoft will not push out the update before end 2013, possibly even 2014.

The leaked video is 12 seconds long and shows off the interactive Live Tiles, tapping which reveals a pop-up menu. The new notification center is also demoed via a swipe-down gesture. However, the video is not a high quality one and makes it difficult to discern some features.

Earlier in June, a user purchased the Lumia 920 from eBay to discover that the phone in question had an early test build of the update on board. The handset was reclaimed by Microsoft, thereby confirming the authenticity, but not before the user posted screenshots which showed off a new calendar design, a notification center and the ability to sort apps depending on frequency of usage.

Whether the current video (courtesy of "mati leaks") is legit or fake, remains circumspect.

According to WPCentral's sources, the leaked video of the Lumia 920 running the upcoming Windows 8.1 OS is apparently not authentic.

"Our source(s) tells us that indeed, this is fake. We won't go into details but our source(s) is very confident that this is not real," notes the website.
