Samsung announces Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition in the U.S.
Samsung has officially announced its Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition. The bundle will include a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, a desktop dock, a Bluetooth keyboard and free software.
With only a few more weeks left before students go back to school, Samsung has launched its Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 Student Edition. The company knows that many students will be looking to purchase a new tablet in the coming weeks as they head back to school and plans on enticing them with a bundle that includes a Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Samsung's desktop dock, a Samsung Slim Bluetooth keyboard, a pre-loaded copy of Polaris Office, a Dropbox offer with 50GB of free storage for a year and three months of Hulu Plus for free (for new Hulu customers), all for $349.99. The "Student Edition" will be offered by select retailers in the U.S. and allows for great savings over buying each product separately.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 features a 10.1-inch 720p 1280 x 800 Gorilla Glass display, runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with Samsung's TouchWiz Nature UX, is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, includes 16GB of internal storage, a 3-megapixel rear camera, a 640 x 480 (VGA) front-facing camera, Wi-Fi 802.11 b.g.n, Bluetooth 3.0, and includes a 7,000 mAh battery. It also includes a built-in IR blaster that allows the tablet to be used as a universal remote control and program guide. Its dimensions are 10.1 x 6.9 x 0.38 inches with a 1.28-pound weight.
