According to the Guinness World Records, the most Instagrammed city in the whole wide world is none other than New York City.
The data available on its official website indicates that it is the most Instagrammed city as of December 2017. We realize that that is practically five years ago, but the website does state that "all records on our website are current and up-to-date."
An article published by Lifestyle Asia just last October states that New York City is even the most Instagrammed city during the fall season. The article states that the city had 151,136 hashtags for the season.

Alright, so now we know that New York City, as of press time, is the most popular city on Instagram. Can you guess which cities are the second all the way to the tenth most Instagrammed cities in the world?

The city in eighth place is one that you can find in Asia. Believe it or not, it is not Tokyo. Neither is it Beijing, Shanghai, or any other city in China. It is none other than Jakarta, Indonesia. At number nine is Istanbul, Turkey.
Last and certainly not the least, another European city makes it to the top 10 and it is none other than Barcelona, Spain.
