Elon Musk's Tesla self-driving EVs would no longer need any human drivers sitting behind the wheel as its development progresses by next year or in 2023.
The mega-rich tech entrepreneur, Musk, shares his latest timeline of the self-driving tech of Tesla electric vehicles (EVs).
The CEO and founder of the automaker boldly predicted that monumental progress on the full self-driving efforts of Tesla is coming sometime next year.
Elon Musk's Tesla Self-Driving Timeline
As per the latest news story by Electrek, the Tesla founder gave reporters in Brazil a more explicit timeline of when its self-driving EVs are blossoming to full-blown usability.
The tech entrepreneur was in Brazil for matters outside his EV tech giant. Instead, Musk visited the Latin American nation to grace the partnership of SpaceX and its local government.
The SpaceX CEO and founder were in the region as Starlink graces the launch of its satellite-based internet in the Amazonian territories.
However, that SpaceX Starlink-focused visit did not stop Musk from talking about his beloved EV firm, Tesla.
The SpaceX and Tesla CEO went on to say that its self-driving tech would no longer require humans to supervise it come 2023.
Musk got a bit more specific about it. The CEO reportedly disclosed that Tesla's self-driving EVs are going full force in the same period next year.
So, Musk is saying that Tesla EVs are ditching the need for human drivers at roughly around mid-May in 2023.
If the prediction of the mega-billionaire goes as planned, Tesla cars should start boasting driver-free tech by summer next year.

Elon Musk's Predictions
However, Electrek could not help but note in its report that Musk is known for blurting out a timeline for the self-driving tech of Tesla that goes far from what actually occurs.
For instance, the news outlet noted that the Tesla CEO previously stated that his EV firm would be home to a whopping 1 million "robotaxis" once 2020 comes to an end.
However, two years have already passed since it was supposed to see the light of day, but we are still waiting for self-driving tech that would not require any human supervision.
It is worth noting that "robotaxi" refers to a passenger vehicle that ditches a human driver sitting behind the wheel.
Tesla Full-Self Driving
Nevertheless, the full-self-driving feature of Tesla continues to make progress with massive updates every now and then.
According to a recent report by InsideEVs, the latest update of Full Self-Driving Beta brings a couple of improvements.
The new beta adds 250,000 video clips for its full-self driving tech, among other additional improvements.
