The AT&T Nokia Lumia 1020 went on sale a few days ago for $299.99 with a new 2-year contract. Amazon is now offering the 41-megapixel smartphone for $269.99.

It looks like there's a growing trend with smartphone makers focusing on packing in high-end cameras to their smartphones to make them stand out from rivals and also appeal to consumers who would like a converged smartphone and powerful camera. Samsung recently released its 16-megapixel Galaxy S4 Zoom, which also includes a 10x optical zoom. Sony is getting ready to release its Xperia i1 'Honami' with a 20-megapixel CyberShot camera. Nokia's Lumia 1020 trounces the competition by using a very high-end and powerful 41-megapixel camera.

Amazon is currently offering the AT&T Lumia 1020 for $269.99 when signing a new 2-year contract. This is currently the lowest price to purchase the smartphone since AT&T started offering it a few days ago.  The Lumia 1020 features a 4.5-inch ClearBlack AMOLED PureMotion HD+ display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 and a pixel density of 334 pixels per inch (ppi). The smartphone runs Windows Phone 8, it also comes pre-loaded with Nokia's Lumia Amber update and is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. It has 32GB of internal storage and includes 2GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly. It also includes a 4G LTE radio, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC for wireless connectivity and a 2,000 mAh non-removable battery.

The highlight of the Lumia 1020 is its 41-megapixel camera. It's a PureView camera that includes Carl Zeiss optics, optical image stabilization (OIS), a Xenon flash and can record full HD 1080p video. It also includes a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera for images, video, and video chat. Current reviews of the smartphone have highly praised the Lumia 1020's camera and unlike the Galaxy S4 Zoom, it is still a pretty slim and pocketable smartphone.

You can purchase the AT&T Nokia Lumia 1020 from Amazon for $269.99 when signing a new 2-year contract. Amazon has the smartphone in stock and ready to ship and the retailer is also throwing in free two-day shipping with the order.
