Pokemon GO, Pokemon Trading Card Game Crossover: Here's What You Have to Know

CNET reported in February that within this year, the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) will release a new expansion based on the series' popular mobile game, Pokémon GO. It was previously said that the expansion will be released this summer and will include brand-new cards inspired by the mobile game.

This June 16, the Pokémon TCG will finally launch!

Pokémon GO TCG Crossover

The Pokémon TCG crossover celebration includes a number of unique Pokémon to catch, including the debuting Wimpod and the returning shiny Meltan. However, a special event in Pokémon GO is being held to commemorate the imminent release of the first Go-themed Pokémon TCG expansion, CNET said in a separate report.

This event will begin at 10 a.m. on June 16 until 8 p.m. local time on June 30.

What You Need To Know About This Event

CNET mentioned that during the Pokémon TCG crossover event, six new Collection Challenges will be accessible where you can  receive XP, a Lure Module, and the chance to catch Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, and Meltan.

Several new Pokémon, such as Wimpod, will make their first appearance in Pokémon GO during the TCG crossover. Apart from that, Lunatone and Solrock will be available during the event. The two Pokémon will emerge all across the world during the TCG crossover, despite the fact that they are generally exclusive to one hemisphere. Lunatone will only appear in the Western Hemisphere after the event, whereas Solrock will only appear in the Eastern Hemisphere.

On July 1, according to CNET, the Pokémon GO TCG expansion will be launched.
