So, what Apple TV users could do is check if they already got their hands on the last firmware update on the new Siri Remote.

Apple TV Siri Remote Firmware Update

As per a news story by Apple Insider, it has been a while since the Cupertino-based tech giant last updated its Siri Remote. The previous firmware update was way back in August 2021, nearly a year from now, with its version number of 9M6772.

But this time, Apple finally rolled out a new firmware version of the Siri Remote of the Apple TV.

Apple Insider notes that the new 10M1103 firmware version specifically updates the redesigned Siri Remote, which debuted last 2021.

Apple TV's New Siri Remote

According to a recent report by Wccftech, the all-new Apple TV 4K comes with the newly redesigned Siri remote, which notably ditches the touch surface.

The second generation Apple TV Siri Remote debuted last May 2021, as per a review from The Verge.

The new look is also more thoughtful about the placing of the Siri button, which has been pushed to the side to prevent users from accidentally pressing it. The next-gen Siri Remote retails for $59 if older users want to upgrade to this one.

Siri Remote Firmware Update

Now, the redesigned Siri Remote is getting its much-awaited firmware update, which is the first since its debut.

However, Apple Insider reports that Apple remains mum about the contents of the latest software update. So, we are clueless about what the new firmware release brings to the table.

Despite that, Wccftech suggests that the new software brings a bunch of bug fixes to iron out some issues.
