Regé-Jean Page Is Not a Cast of 'Secret Invasion', Says Marvel

Marvel distributed a press release to several reporters following the Marvel Theatrical panel on Saturday night. After the media published on the cast list, Marvel instantly recognized the problem and promptly sent out a correction, as per the report by Engadget.

Page's inclusion in the cast roster, according to a Disney spokesman to TVLine, was by accident.

Why Is the Cast List Important?

The fact that Marvel did this for a show where an entire alien species has the ability to shape-shift into any other individual makes the incident humorous for a number of reasons, according to Engadget.

The news outlet pointed out that this is the kind of show that is perfect for cameos and surprise guest stars.

We won't ever know whether Page was ever going to be a part of the show or might have been a surprise guest star for an episode, at least not until the show is released.

The 'Real' Casts of 'Secret Invasion'

Many MCU actors who have already been announced for the series are reprising their roles, including Colbie Smulders as Maria Hill, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Numerous highly outstanding British actors, such as Kingsley Ben-Adir, Olivia Colman, and Emilia Clarke, will be appearing in the show as well.

As for Page, he will play a paladin in the upcoming "Dungeons & Dragons" movie, which will hit theaters on March 3 next year.

TVLine mentioned that the Skrull faction that has been infiltrating Earth for years is the main focus of the story. Phase 5 of the MCU, often known as "The Multiverse Saga," includes this series in addition to the others that were revealed at Marvel's SDCC panel.

The Disney+ launch of "Secret Invasion" is slated for the spring of 2023.

Trailer of 'Secret Invasion'

On Saturday at Comic-Con, Marvel unveiled the first trailer for "Secret Invasion." Fury comes to Earth in the forthcoming series to battle with a group of Skrulls who can change into several shapes and have been infiltrating Earth for years.

According to Deadline, the trailer shows Nick Fury exiting a spaceship to meet Maria Hill, who had previously made a failed attempt to get in touch with Fury, at a bar.

She asserts that he has been avoiding Earth for a long time and questions his decision to return at this time. He justifies it by saying that the situation demanded his attention.

In yet another shot, Fury can be seen seated next to James Rhodes, who is flanked by men in black suits."

"You're in no shape for this Fury," says Olivia Colman in a scene that nearly looks like it belongs in a James Bond movie.
