With the heat wave ending, going outside to spend time on the beach soaking in some sun or going for a swim is a bearable thing to do again.

And what could possibly be better than spending a few days on the beach while enjoying everything it has to offer with... a handful of killers?

Apparently, that is the premise of game developer Behaviour Interactive with Hooked to You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim, the first spin-off of its hit asymmetrical survival horror multiplayer game, Dead By Daylight.

Hooked to You is now available on download for people who wish to flirt and romance their way into the hearts of either of four Dead by Daylight killers on Steam.

Hooked to You is a dating sim wherein you, the player, get a chance to flirt and date one of the four featured killers of Dead by Daylight.

Interestingly enough, the dating sim is the product of Behaviour Interactive's collaboration with Psyop, the developers of the now-infamous Colonel Sanders dating sim, I love you, Colonel Sanders! A Finger Lickin' Good Dating Simulator.

You may remember that the game was revealed during Dead by Daylight's sixth-anniversary live stream broadcast, where Behaviour Interactive revealed a handful of new things that would be introduced to the game.

During that live stream, Dead by Daylight's head of partnerships, Mathieu Côté, said that Behaviour Interactive wants to give Dead by Daylight fans "a fresh way...to interact and create an emotional bond with their favorite killers" and to provide them with a "completely unique and surprising new way to experience the world of Dead by Daylight."

The dating sim takes place on the aptly named Murderer's Island, where the player will be in the company of the four featured killers (or love interests?) in the dating sim, which are the Trapper, the Wraith, the Huntress, and the Spirit. This island is also fully explorable with the love interst of your choice.

All four killers are all presented in a "sexy anime style" familiar to Psyop's previous works, per Eurogamer.

Additionally, players can expect that the stories behind the love interests' routes combine humor, romance, and, of course, horror (they still are the Entity's killers, after all.)

The dating sim also has a series of "flirtatious minigames" for the player to play to win over the heart of their paramour and advance the dating sim's plot, per the game's Steam page. These minigames include answering quizzes, hunting for treasure, carving meat, and more. The player's score on these minigames will provide the foundation for how well-liked (or disliked) they are with their paramour.

Hooked To You Availability, Price, And Additional Content

Hooked to You: A Dead by Daylight Dating Sim is now available to download on Steam on a surprise release for $9.99.

Dead by Daylight players who also download the game's spin-off dating sim will also unlock two exclusive gifts, including the "Captured Heart" charm and a shark-chewed "Surf Survivor" outfit for the survivor, Jake Park.
