Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4: Pre-Orders, Price, When It Goes on Sale, and More

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has now been revealed at the recent Unpacked 2022 event.

Samsung's recent Unpacked event revealed its newest devices, the Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Buds2 Pro, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

As can be seen in the latest edition of the fourth generation of Samaung's Fold devices, the exterior design did not veer away from the design of the previous generation.

However, with its newest model, Samsung is tweaking its formula to create a faster, more powerful, and slightly sleeker phone to cater to the user's multitasking needs.

For now, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 pre-order can now be found on the company's official website.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Specs

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 has an immersive viewing experience, providing users with a better experience in their taskbar.

With the improved feature, more apps have been optimized to take better advantage of the phone's flexible display.

The Z Fold 4 maintains the same level of water resistance as its predecessor, which means it can survive being submerged in water at depths of up to 5 feet for up to half an hour.

A newly redesigned taskbar and a revamped camera with a 12 megapixel ultrawide camera are also included in this update.

As reported by Engadget, in terms of its hardware, the Z Fold 4 features new components such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, a brighter 7.6-inch flexible display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a longer telephoto cam with a 3x optical zoom (up from 2x on the previous model).

Additionally, the Z Fold 4 has a larger battery that can last for up to 40 hours on a single charge.

The Z Fold 4's sturdiness has also been increased thanks to Samsung's use of its Armor Aluminum alloy on the phone's hinge and frame, as well as the use of upgraded Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and back panels of the device.

Samsung has designed the device so that the exterior cover screen is in a way that would improve the experience of users when typing.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 price starts at $1,800 for 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, which will be available in beige, burgundy, phantom black, and graygreen.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Software

The biggest change to the Z Fold 4 may be its software. iTechPost previously reported that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will run the Android 12L operating system. Android 12L is an operating system designed by Google that suits mobile devices that have large screens.

With the newest model, a drag-and-drop feature for sharing things like files and links is now available in Chrome and Gmail, and the user interface of Outlook has been updated to more closely resemble that of a tablet in order to make better use of the large main display of the phone.

The number of applications that are compatible with Samsung's Flex Mode, which consists of unique features that are accessible when the phone is only partially opened, has increased thanks to Samsung's continued collaboration with Google and Microsoft.

Lastly, one of the most anticipated and speculated features, S Pen storage, is officially confirmed to be included in the device. The device would be suited for users who like taking notes, drawing, or prefer using a pen.
