Most of us by now know the story of how Spider-Man came to be. American teenager Peter Parker got bit by a radioactive spider that granted him the abilities of a spider. Although he is reluctant to do crime fighting, opting to appear on TV instead of in the streets, the murder of his uncle, Ben Parker, convinced him to use his powers for good, per the Encyclopaedia Britannica.
With the release of the game Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered for the PC, gamers could finally play as our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man as intended since the "Spider-Man 2" movie tie-in game in 2004. This game gave players and modders to do whatever they liked on the digital streets of New York.
But what if you got to play as Ben Parker himself? You can, but with one catch.
Modders of Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered have recently made it possible to play the game as Ben Parker's gravestone, along with other characters that made for some interesting gameplay.
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered Ben Parker Gravestone Mod
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered for the PC has been keeping PC gamers busy. Modders have even made it possible to see Mary Jane, Wilson Fisk, and even the late Stan Lee swinging around the busy streets of New York, per PC Gamer.
PCGamesN reports that modders have even made it possible to play as Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man.
However, the most macabre character switch mod has to be the "Become Uncle Ben" mod. Created by Nexus Mods user Saphire, it allows players to play as the gravestone of Ben Parker, complete with the engravings from his widow and nephew.

The mod, which was first spotted by The Gamer, replaces Spider-Man's classic suit (Repaired) with Uncle Ben's gravestone. Thus, allowing players to not worry about the mod interfering with their existing outfits.
However, to use the mod, Saphire advises people to install the Spider-Man PC Modding Tool before even downloading the mod.
While a bit disconcerting, seeing a gravestone swinging around could provide a barrel full of laughs due to dark humor or a terrifying sight if you're an NPC.
Interestingly, The mod appears to have achieved a similar result to a mod made by YouTuber jedijosh920, which allows people to play as Ben Parker's gravestone in the 2018 Spider-Man video game also made by Insomniac Games.

If swinging around New York as Uncle Ben's gravestone isn't enough for your dark humor, modders have also made it possible to web sling from building to building as Aunt may's gravestone,
The mod, which is formally known in Nexus Mods as "Become Aunt May," is another character swap mod made by Saphire. The difference between the two is that Aunt May's gravestone comes with a patch of dirt to make the look feel more complete.
Unfortunately, running the two mods together is impossible as both mods replace Spider-Man's classic suit (Repaired). As such, you'll have to choose which gravestone you want to play during the duration of your game time.
