YouTube Removes Videos of Tesla Vehicles Beta Testing the Full-Self Driving for Using Kids

YouTube has removed a video of Tesla EVs beta testing the newest full-self driving version.

In order to simulate real-world driving conditions, a Tesla owner put their own children in the vehicle and drove them on the road and their driveway.

The purpose of the tests was to determine whether or not pedestrians walking or standing still in the street would be automatically avoided by a slowly moving Tesla that was outfitted with the most recent driver assistance systems produced by the company.

Content that puts minors in potentially dangerous situations or encourages them to participate in activities that could result in injury is not permitted on YouTube. This type of content includes dares, pranks, and stunts.

When a company discovers videos on its platform that promote illegal or risky behavior that could result in serious injury or even death, it takes those videos down immediately.

The particular policy that YouTube referred to is one that addresses potentially harmful and unsafe content.

A YouTube channel called Whole Mars Catalo, who is runned by Omar Qazi posted a video on August 14. The video showed the Tesla investor, Tad Park, driving a Model 3 Tesla vehicle at eight miles per hour.

According to CNBC, the vehicle was shown to be going towards the direction of the child on a road in the San Francisco Bay Area. The video had thousands of views before it was taken down by YouTube.

Park is a portfolio manager of CAR and the CEO of Volt Equity. He stated that they first tried the test using a mannequin, then tried it with a tall basketball player, then another kid stood up, and his other child crossed the street.

He reiterated that the vehicle was not traveling above eight miles per hour and made sure that the vehicle recognized the kid. Park said, "I was prepared to take over at any time."

"I had a sense of when I was going to need to brake if the car was not sufficiently slowing down."

Park carried out the tests in order to refute the claims made by Dan O'Dowd, founder of a software company, in an advertising campaign that ran nationally and criticized the driver assistance features offered by Tesla.

Omar Qazi, who runs the Whole Mars Catalog channel on YouTube, is known to be a shareholder in Tesla and a major promoter of the company across various social media platforms.

Tesla's Full Self-Driving Beta

Tesla's Full-Self Driving beta makes it possible for the vehicles to drive themselves to a destination that the driver has programmed into the navigation system. The driver is still responsible for keeping constant vigilance and being prepared to take control of the vehicle at any time.

The FSD Beta program has been receiving frequent new software updates from Tesla, and the company has been adding more users to the beta program.

As reported by electrek, Tesla's FSD beta 10.69 is supposed to roll out tomorrow on August 20, however, ELon Musk went to Twitter and stated that it will be an extra cautious roll out.

Musk said, "Releasing on 8/20 to ~1000 Tesla owners, then 10.69.1 next week to accommodate feedback & release to ~10k customers, then 10.69.2 week after & release to rest of FSD Beta."
