Previously, the carrier only offered a free year of AppleTV+ to subscribers of Magenta or Magenta Max. The new offering makes AppleTV+ a permanent fixture on the unlimited plan beginning August 31.

Now, T-Mobile subscribers who are on the Magenta Max will be able to stream AppleTV+ content on their phones at no extra cost. According to CNET, T-Mobile subscribers who did not take advantage of the free year of AppleTV+ were also given a chance to sign up for the six-month free trial of Apple's streaming service.

T-Mobile continues to offer the free year of AppleTV+ until August 31 for those subscribed to the Magenta plan.

T-Mobile Offers Access to Streaming Platforms

Those who are subscribed to the Magenta Max plan are also given year-long access to Paramount+ and ouTube TV and Philo discounts. Meanwhile, Magenta subscribers get six months of AppleTV+. It's a worth perk, especially when Apple's streaming service has been churning out a number of quality original shows and films.

Those on the T-Mobile Magenta Max plan can watch AppleTV+'s "Coda," which was named this year's Best Picture at the Academy Awards, as well as the "Ted Lasso" and "Severance." Apple's streaming service also now features sports, including MLB Friday Night Baseball games. Sports fans can expect Major League Soccer matches to be added next year as well.

Moreover, T-Mobile also offers the fastest average 5G speeds with more mid-band coverage.

T-Mobile is a great choice for those who will be streaming content on AppleTV+ and other streaming platforms on their iPhone 14s or other new smartphones as it offers the fastest average speeds as per Opensignal and Ookla studies. They have also improved coverage in the last years, making for a more seamless way to connect to the internet while on a mobile phone.

Despite historically being an industry leader, however, T-Mobile recently saw a slight decline in its churn rate, as per the Motley Fool. But it did post stronger net additions with 1.7 million postpaid customers, which included 723,000 postpaid phone customers, a larger sum than Verizon's 514,000 net postpaid customers, inclusive of 12,000 phone customers.
