Musk Confirms that SpaceX will Launch 100 Mission in 2023

According to Space.com, Musk confirmed that SpaceX is indeed setting greater goals next year. The company intends to launch 100 missions in 2023.

"Yeah, aiming for up to 100 flights next year," Musk tweeted.

With this plan, SpaceX will be considered as the "most frequent flyers to space." The company is already recognized in space missions for its numerous operations in the previous years.

It is expected that many of those 100 missions next year will bring new batches of satellites for Starlink broadband constellation.

This year, the 25 flights out of SpaceX's 39 missions to space have brought 50 satellites for Starlink.

While SpaceX's 39 missions this year utilized the Falcon 9 rocket, that is possible to change in 2023.

According to Space.com, SpaceX is already preparing its "next-generation spaceflight system." The huge rocket-spaceship currently identified as Starship is expected to be in the works in the future.

In the next few months, we might see the first orbital test of Starship from its South Texas facility, Starbase.

Recently, SpaceX began conducting "static fire" engine tests with Booster 7 and Ship 24, as per Space.com. Expected to launch on the mission are Booster 7 and Ship 24, the Starship prototype elements.

Space.com noted that the Starship is important to the future plans of SpaceX.

According to Musk, Starship will be "cost-effective enough to make Mars colonization economically feasible."

In the future, SpaceX will be using Starship to bring the Starlink Version 2 satellites into space, as per Space.com.
