Ford’s Sales for EV Lineup Continues To Increase, 307% for Q2

Ford has shifted its effort to electric vehicles in the past few years, and it is paying off.

Ford recently reported its second-quarter earnings. The reported recent earnings are looking good for the company.

Despite economic challenges and shortages of supply materials, Ford has continued to become overwhelmed with the demand for its first generation of electric vehicles.

Due to the massive increase in demand for their EVs, the company has allowed customers to order again.

With its newfound success, the company is working to produce 14,000 EVs around the globe this month. This number is up dramatically from where it was just a few months ago.

The company plans to increase its monthly production to 60,000 EVs by the end of next year. This production rate will help the company reach its goal of being able to produce 2 million EVs by the end of 2026.

Ford's Increasing EV Sales

Ford is reaching great heights in the production of its electric vehicles. The automaker is having success transforming its best-selling models into electric vehicles.

According to Electrek, Ford's electric pickup truck, the F-150 Lightning, continued to post its greatest month ever in August with 2,373 sales. The same thing happened in the month of July when it reached 2,573.

This vehicle is reportedly selling fast at dealers, making it the dealership's fastest turnover product.

In addition, there is also E-Transit, which Ford reported selling 404 in the month of August. Over 90 % of the market is currently dominated by the commercial electric vans produced by the firm.

Last but not least, the Mustang Mach-e, for which the company received a record number of orders during August (7,800). Even though it has been available for purchase for more than a year, the Mustang Mach-e continues to attract purchases.

The responses have been very positive thus far, which has helped Ford take the second spot in the EV sales market in the United States in August.

As electrek reports, for 2022, Ford has sold 3,938 vehicles of E-Transit, 25, 765 vehicles of Mustang Mach-e, and 6,842 vehicles of F-150 Lighting.

Ford's EV Lineup

Ford has released three electric vehicles so far. In December of 2020, Ford released their first EV, which was the Mustang Mach-e.

The Mustang has been Ford's most successful model for decades, and the firm is most famous for it. The Mach-e serves as an electric version of the Mustang.

Afterwards, Ford presented the industry with an electric variant of their commercial van known as the E-Transit, which quickly became a crowd favorite.

Ford has added the all-electric F-150 Lightning truck to its already successful F-series lineup in an effort to capture a larger share of the electric vehicle (EV) market.

The company started the deliveries of the F-150 Lightning in May 2022, and by August, Ford had sent their electric pickup truck to each of the 50 states in the United States.

The carmaker recently reopened orders for the F-150 lightning at the beginning of August with a new price and more color options in response to the growing demand for the vehicle and their existing production capacity.

In addition to this, Ford has also begun accepting orders for the Mustang Mach-e, which comes with a higher starting price as well as two additional color options.
