Nokia Lumia 1020 coming to Verizon in September
Nokia Lumia 1020 may arrive on U.S. carrier Verizon in September and it will possibly hit the shelves in October this year.
The Finnish company launched a number of top-end Windows Phone 8 (WP8)-powered handsets this year and the Lumia 1020 was one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2013.
The Lumia 925 was initially launched exclusively to T-Mobile and the Lumia 928 hit Verizon in May this year. The company also launched the Lumia 1020 in July this year, which is currently exclusive only to AT&T.

The Lumia 925 has already made its way to AT&T and if latest rumors are to be believed, then the Lumia 1020 will be available on Verizon in October.
A NokiaPowerUser report reveals that the site has been tipped by a Verizon insider who claims that the Lumia 1020 will soon launch on the carrier.
"Lumia 1020 coming to Verizon in October. It may be announced by end of September for Verizon and land somewhere around mid-October," reports NokiaPowerUser.
AT&T was the first U.S. carrier to exclusively offer the top-end Nokia Lumia 920 in the country. The carrier currently has the highest number of top-end WP8 smartphones in its smartphone portfolio, which include the Lumia 920, Lumia 925 and the Lumia 1020.
Verizon, on the other hand, has only the Lumia 925 as a top-end Nokia WP8 handset on its network. Verizon customers will be happy enough to get their hands on another top-end WP8 handset from the carrier and the launch of Lumia 1020 will be like icing on the cake.
The Lumia 1020 has been very popular due to its 41-megapixel rear-facing PureView camera, which is one of the best cameras found on a smartphone. The handset attracts customers who are looking for a top-end smartphone with high-end camera capabilities.
However, apart from the camera capabilities, the Lumia 1020 is just a minor update from the Lumia 920. Customers looking for a smartphone with a high-end camera can also opt for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom. Moreover, rumors suggest that the upcoming Sony Honami will have a top-end camera integrated with Sony Cybershot camera features. None of yhose, however, will boast 41 megapixels.
