Amazon Confirms Prime Early Access Sale on October 11th and 12th

It's an excellent time to be a Prime member of Amazon this coming October 11th and 12th as they have officially announced that they will be holding a second sales event this fall exclusively for Prime members. What makes the event special? Amazon usually does Prime day only once annually for two consecutive days.

The Prime Early Access Sale will happen in places like the US, UK, Canada, and 12 other countries. As mentioned by Engadget, Amazon holds these events to gather more people to subscribe as Prime members and it helps to increase sales during the summer.

This could also be because the company is facing difficulties brought about by inflation, rising interest rates, and overexpansion due to the pandemic. CNBC has reported that Amazon has been contacting sellers about the event since June. This could mean that they have the best sales at the ready for their Prime members.

Amazon's Prime Early Access Sale Advantages

It is not lost on people that holidays are coming, which means it's also time to brace their wallets for gift shopping. The sale falls comfortably at the dates nearing times for celebration, which means it is a great opportunity to start looking for presents and stock up before the holiday rush sets in.

There are still no specifics on what kind of discounts this sale will have for Prime members but if it is like Prime Day which took place on July 12th and 13th, then you can expect discounts on things like household essentials, clothing, electronics, and more, all reserved for people who availed and subscribed to Amazon Prime.

CNBC stated that the new sales events could be Amazon's means to jumpstart holiday shopping as the company may very well run into a potential recession, slowing of e-commerce sales, and a host of economic challenges.

Should I Avail of the Prime Membership Program?

It might be smart to do so with all these sales coming up the block. Not to mention, the Prime Early Access Sale is only available to, you guessed it, Prime members. Not only that, you get to enjoy the benefits of it like fast and free shipping options, streaming and entertainment exclusives, and more.

Though Amazon hiked up the Prime membership, it really depends on you if you'll be able to make that worth your buck. The monthly fee now costs $15 dollars while the yearly subscriptions cost $139. The Prime student membership will cost you $69 now too as opposed to it being $59 a year previously.

It's also a good thing to consider that occasions and holidays that might require you to have a sack full of gifts are only a blink away and with the inflation, people are trying their best to get something good out of every penny. Exclusive discounts will do just that for you plus, shopping early on will let you avoid rabid shoppers and cart races to get items you like before they run out.
