What makes the event special? Amazon usually does Prime day only once annually for two consecutive days.
The Prime Early Access Sale will happen in places like the US, UK, Canada, and 12 other countries. As mentioned by Engadget, Amazon holds these events to gather more people to subscribe as Prime members and it helps to increase sales during the summer.
This could also be because the company is facing difficulties brought about by inflation, rising interest rates, and overexpansion due to the pandemic. CNBC has reported that Amazon has been contacting sellers about the event since June. This could mean that they have the best sales at the ready for their Prime members.

Amazon's Prime Early Access Sale Advantages
It is not lost on people that holidays are coming, which means it's also time to brace their wallets for gift shopping.
