Nokia Lumia 1520 (Bandit) images leak again

The rumored Nokia Lumia 1520 (Bandit) has appeared in more pictures and this time side by side with the recently launched Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami).

Rumors of a Nokia phablet have been circling the smartphone space for quite some time and rumors suggest that the device will launch sooner rather than later. So far the biggest Windows Phone 8 (WP8) handset around is the Nokia Lumia 625, which has a display size of 4.7 inches. None of the other WP8 smartphones have a screen size of over 5 inches.

The Lumia 1520 will be the first WP8 smartphone to feature a 6-inch display. Previously, @evleaks also leaked a picture of the Lumia 1520 with a yellow body. However, the latest leaked images come in courtesy of The Verge.

"Nokia is preparing to launch a 6-inch Lumia 1520 Windows Phone. We got a brief look at the phone last month thanks to a leaked image, but Verge reader KaZ has supplied a number of new photos of the device. The images compare the Lumia 1520 to a Sony Xperia handset, and they show just how big this 6-inch 1080p handset is," reports the publication.

The Verge's report suggests that the Lumia 1520 will have 2GB of RAM, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 1080p display, 32GB of internal storage and an microSD slot.

The leaked images of the Lumia 1520 suggest that the rear of the handset includes a camera with a slight hump, which is very similar to what is found on the Lumia 925. The recently leaked images also bear a close resemblance to the image leaked by @evleaks.

Nokia has not yet confirmed the device but with so many rumors pertaining to the Lumia 1520 surfacing, it seems that the smartphone will launch in the near term.

WP8 devices have become very popular in the smartphone space and Nokia currently has the widest range of WP8 handsets on offer. The launch of the first WP8-powered phablet may attract many customers to Microsoft's latest operating system.

Until Nokia officially announces the Lumia 1520, however, take all rumors with a grain of salt.
