Bullying can be a devastating experience for a child. It can cause a traumatic experience that can affect a person until he gets old.

Bullying is not a recent phenomenon. It has been happening since time immemorial. As much as possible, you want to protect your children from bullying. But how? You cannot keep an eye on them all the time particularly if they are in school.

Bullying can occur online. You might not be aware that you are already bullying someone by simply saying hurtful words. ReThink - Stop Cyberbullying is developed by a 13-year-old girl, as per TulsaKids. She wanted to contribute to the fight of stopping cyberbullying that's why she developed the app. 

With this app, the user will receive alerts such as "Would you like to re-word this? Remember, you are what you type!" once the app detected that he is typing a hurtful language. Through this, kids are prevented from bullying other kids online as they are reminded that their messages can potentially hurt others.

2. Bully Button

This app is great for physical bullying. Bully Button alerts parents of a real situation by sending them a recording of a bullying situation. With this, they can immediately render help to their children. This app is great for children who cannot handle a situation by themselves and thus, require the help of adults to resolve an incident. While this might not do much for cyberbullying, this app is perfect for instances of physical bullying.

3. Speak Up! For Someone

When it comes to bullying, you should not only be able to stand for yourself but for others as well. Since bullying can happen to anyone, you have to teach your children to stand not only for themselves but for other people as well. Using Speak Up! For Someone will allow your kids to record a bullying incident that they witness. Afterwards they can report it anonymously so that school officials can take appropriate actions.
