EA Acknowledges that it "Lets the Players Down"

Ebonix called out the company after noticing that it's Behind The Sims Summit predominately featured white content creators, and there is only one Black Simmer.

According to EuroGamer, other unhappy players amplified Ebonix sentiments, and likewise, called the attention of the company.

In EA's own words, they had "let the players down" because they did not represent the vast community of players.

In a reply to a tweet, the company said ""You are right in your frustrations, and we let you down. We owe it to you and each of our Black creators and players to make sure you are seen and celebrated for all that you bring to The Sims and The Sims community."

According to EA, Black Simmers deserve to feel included in everything that they do at The Sims. With this, the company said that they are holding themselves accountable with what happened. They promised to do better moving forward.

Although the company acknowledged what it did, it did not issue formal apologies according to GamesRadar. Likewise, it did not detail how it plan to move forward after what happened.

But in a further statement, EA promised that it would take necessary actions over what happened, saying "accountability is the first step, but we know accountability without action is just dreams sold."

What's New with the upcoming The Sims' Project Rene?
