Captains, rejoice! Honkai Impact 3rd's next update is just around the corner!
HoYoverse recently announced that the latest update for Honkai Impact 3rd would launch on Oct. 27, bringing Li Sushang's new battlesuit and additions to the game's story and various modes for players to enjoy.
The latest update will also be the final chapter of the main story's first part, which will see players going to the moon to discover what's below its surface.
Honkai Impact 3rd v.6.1 Update Features
HoYoverse mentioned that Honkai Impact 3rd's upcoming 6.1 version update would come with a new battlesuit and story chapter to progress the game storyline, per Game Press. It also has an event that will reward players with a new outfit for Infinite Ouroboros, more commonly known as Dr. Mobius.
Let's start with the story chapter. Story Chapter XXXII will bring the first part of the game's story to an end, with the latest chapter carrying the game's narrative on the moon itself. From this point onward, all versions of the game will explore the moon and what's going on underneath its surface.
The new Story Chapter also contains the long-awaited reunion between game protagonists Kiana Kaslana and Raiden Mei, making the chapter special for players looking forward to what happens between the two valkyries.
Aside from the new story chapter, the update comes with the inclusion of the new S-rank battle suit, Jade Knight, for Li Sushang. According to HoYoverse, Sushang was the star pupil of the Wanderer's house, but various events she got caught up in led to her being severely injured. These injuries required her to be cryogenically frozen by Schicksal under the orders of Otto Apocalypse.

Now that she has woken up from her cryo-sleep, she sets out on new adventures in the current world.
Li Sushang's Jade Knight battlesuit is a Psy-type that deals ice damage with a blade along with flying swords that serve as her ranged attacks. She can use her agility to sort of blink within the Sword Array she generates.
She can also summon flying swords to her side to strike enemies and trap them within the array.
Her ultimate move, Blade Eminence, has her summon a gigantic sword from above and crash it onto the battlefield for massive ice damage. During her ultimate, all skill and stage timers are paused. After which, all ice damage dealers on the player's team will receive additional buffs.
Midnight Chronicle Event Details
Update 6.1 comes with a two-part event called Midnight Chronicle, which has players explore Li Sushang's past and try her favorite video game, "Tales of Xia: Phantasia," for themselves.
The event has 12 maps that are randomly reset each day, with the game offering specific objectives with each map. These maps are grouped under three types: speedrun, survival, and scoring.
The event can be played by players on their own or with up to three other team members, and those that complete the event can get a new outfit for Dr. Mobius, named "Scorching Gravel."
