Apple's M2 MacBook Pro Might Arrive in March

Apple may have launched the new iPhone 14 this year, but they will not be releasing any more Macs.

As mentioned on Engadget, the tech giant plans to announce the new M2 versions of its 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros in March 2023. Apple might align the launch with the release of macOS Ventura 13.3.

Gurman stated that Apple rarely launched new products in the first and second months of the year. They did, however, have a history of releasing new products in March. Apple CEO Tim Cook told an analyst that they had already set the holiday season's product line.

According to MacRumors, the assumed new MacBook Pro release in 2023 will feature an M2 or M2 Ultra Chip. It will also have a 64-core GPU and a 64GB or 128GB of unified memory. It might also come with the M2 Extreme chip, which will have a 409-core CPU, 128-core GPU, and mroe or less 128GB or 256GB of unified memory.

Other Rumored Releases for 2023

  • Apple discontinued the HomePod back in 2021 or March. However, there are rumors that the tech company plans to revive it. Gurman and Min-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst, the new model could be the same as its predecessor. Although, it would have better audio quality, and it will be powered by the same chip as the Apple Watch Series 8, which was an S8 chip.

  • Apple has a rumored "Reality Pro" headset, which is specifically augmented reality or virtual reality. 

  • Apple could be working on a device that has the purpose of three- a Homepod, Apple TV, and a FaceTime Camera. Its funtions can range from watching videos and gaming, as well as a smart speaker that plays music and has Siri as an assistant. 

  • Apple could also release a new iMac, paired with an M3 Apple silicon chip. There are still no details as to what its features are.

  • The tech company may also release a new MacBook Air in its product line. It will have a 15-inch screen compared to a 13-inch MacBook Pro. However, this will have a thinner and lighter design, as MacBook Air products usually are. The latest MacBook Air may be used as a base design, and compared to the rumored model, the latest one has a 13-inch display.

Of course, it's still better to just wait a few months since Apple is likely going to release a new one on the product line. This way, you can enjoy the latest firmware and system features that Apple might put into the new MacBook Pro.
