Tracking Package You’ve Ordered Comes Handy With Gmail New Feature, Google Announces

Google has solved your problem of tracking the package you have ordered easily with the new Gmail feature.

To make it easier, Google does not even require you to open the email when the package arrives.

Package Status, Default

The announcement came a little bit ahead of the holiday season when everybody was busy shopping. That sounds like an advanced holiday treat for Gmail users.

A week from now, Gmail will get a retouch with a small green indicator in its inbox. This tiny indicator will also tell you the date your package was shipped and its arrival.

You will see more information by simply tapping the email. The information includes the link that will help you track the package and other details.

You will know the status of your package, whether it will arrive tomorrow or has just been delivered.

If delays happen, Gmail will also notify you if there is a such delay.

This new feature, however, does not come by default. Of course, Google provides an option with a pop-up giving you a choice if you allow the updates or not.

Once you don't need the notification, you can also turn off the status update.

The Best of Gmail

It seemed just like yesterday when Gmail delivered to us an email service with 1GB storage capacity through its crude interface when it debuted on April 1, 2004. It has grown up now in terms of the number of people using the Google signature email service.

Eighteen years have passed, it seems more is not enough for Google. It keeps on improving the email service serving at least 1.5 billion active users as of 2019.

Hidden Features You May Not Have Known

Pocket-lint listed some of the amazing hidden features that Google's email service has.

1. Smart Reply. For people on the go, say, walking on a street heavy in traffic or driving a vehicle, replying to an email is not as easy as reading them. Google has solved this issue through its Smart Reply. This feature helps you by suggesting a response based on your likely answer, saving you time and hassle.

2. Smart Compose. Like Smart Reply, there is Smart Compose. This feature helps you, through AI to write your message by suggesting a word or a phrase based on your previous experience with the platform.

3, Nudge. When emails are in volume, it is not easy to answer these messages. It is likely you will miss some of these messages in your inbox. The Nudge feature will resurface the emails you haven't read.

4. Gmail Search. This feature has been with Gmail since the beginning. Google has improved the Gmail Search feature by combining the best search chops with an email service. The search bar will help you find the message that was buried deeply in a ton of emails.

5. Archive. All Gmail users have the luxury of having 15GB of space. And the Archive function helps you optimize your space.

6. Undo Sent Mail. Users may hit the send button when it is not yet the right thing to do. Or you may have sent a message that you later wanted to correct. The Undo Sent Mail feature is what you need. You can delete the unwanted message within the 30-second frame from the time it was sent.

7. Switching Between Gmail Accounts. Switching to your other Gmail accounts comes easily. You may have separated your personal Gmail account from your work-related account. This feature allows you to switch between these email accounts effortlessly.

And a lot more amazing features. These features are there in your email account so you can get the most out of the platform.
