#TheSteamSix 6 PlayStation 2 Games That are Still Available on Steam

Hello and welcome to #TheSteamSix, iTech Post's series that focuses on the games that you can purchase on Steam!

Since today also happens to be Throwback Thursday, how about we go down the nostalgic route and talk about the games from the past that you can purchase and play thanks to Steam. Specifically, we will list down six PlayStation 2 games that you can find on the platform! For the best prices be sure to check GG.deals

Without further ado, here they are:

Hitman: Blood Money

The fourth game in the Hitman video game series, Hitman: Blood Money was released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Windows, among other consoles. As with the other games in the series, the player controls the cloned assassin named Agent 47.

In this game, Agent 47 is tasked with bringing down a rival contract killing agency while trying to obtain the technology used to create him.

Hitman: Blood Money is available on Steam.

Okami

Anyone gamer interested in Japanese mythology and folklore should go and check out Okami.

Released in 2006 in Japan and North America, Okami focuses on Amaterasu, who is the goddess of the sun in Japanese mythology. Amaterasu's goal is to save the land from total darkness. Players can expect elements of action, puzzle, and platform games when playing Okami.

Okami, specifically Okami HD, is available on Steam.

Psychonauts

Platform video game Psychonauts was released for the PlayStation 2, Microsoft Windows, and Xbox in 2005. Its Steam page describes the game as "A Psychic Odyssey Through the Minds of Misfits, Monsters, and Madmen."

The story follows a psychic named Razputin, otherwise referred to as Raz, who is on a quest to join an elite group of psychic spencial agents known as the Psychonauts. He ends up breaking into their secret training facility and ends up having to go against a villain who kidnapped the other participants of the summer camp held at the facility.

Psychonauts is available on Steam.

Resident Evil 4

It may be no surprise that a Resident Evil game has made it to this list and it is none other than Resident Evil 4. Released in 2005 by Capcom, the game centers on Leon Scott Kennedy, who is on a mission to rescue Ashley Graham, the daughter of the United States president.

The original game is available on Steam. In case you missed it, Resident Evil 4 will have a remake due for release in 2023. It will be available on Steam as well and you can actually pre-purchase it right now.

Sniper Elite

If you are a fan of old school tactical shooter games, then you might want to check out Sniper Elite.

Sniper Elite was released in 2005 and you control the main character, Karl Fairburne. Karl is a German-born American operative who pretends to be a German sniper during the Battle of Berlin in World War II.

Sniper Elite is available on Steam.

Tomb Raider: Legend

Released in 2006, Tomb Raider: Legend was actually released for both the PlayStation 2 and Microsoft Windows, among other consoles. It is the seventh main entry of the Tomb Raider video game series and focuses on Lara Croft's origin story.

The story revolves around Lara's quest for the popular mythical sword known as the Excalibur. The player also gets to see what happened when Lara and her mother figured in a plane crash.

Tomb Raider: Legend is available on Steam.
