PlayStation Plus is Losing 10 Free Games this 2023

PlayStation Plus subscribers specifically in the Extra and Premium tiers will be losing access to ten games by 2023. Some of the games have a pretty decent fanbase, and they will all be disappointed by January 17.

Which Games Are Going?

The PlayStation plus library will be letting go of games like Seasons After Fall, Shiness: Lightning Kingdom, The Council, Space Hulk: Tactics, Bound by Flame, Masters of Anima, The Last Tinker: City of Colors, Electronic Super Joy, and Leo's Fortune.

The games listed are not as big as God of War Ragnarok or The Witcher 3 but still, some of these games are actually liked by others. According to ComicBook, these games might return to PlayStation Plus, but it's not very likely.

On the bright side, you will still have access to great titles like Death Stranding, God of War (2018), Marvel's Spider-Man, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal, as mentioned in Tom's Guide.

Is the Subscription Still Worth It?

Of course, that is if you like exclusive access to certain games and the benefits that come with the subscription. Without the Essential subscription, you won't be able to enjoy the online aspect of some games, the cloud storage, and the PlayStation Plus discounts.

With PlayStation Extra, you'll have access to the game catalog with more than 400 "most enjoyable" PS4 and PS5 games. Of course, the benefits that come with PlayStation Essential also come with this tier.

As for PlayStation Plus Premium, not only will you have the benefits of both Essential and Extra, but a few additional features as well. You will be able to download various PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, PS5, and PSP games.

You will also have the chance to try out games for a limited time. Select games will be available for trial for two hours. This will allow you to feel the game out if it's something you would like, instead of buying it and realizing that you don't actually like it, which saves you money.
