Samsung Announces a New A-Series Phone Which Might Be the Galaxy A54

Samsung is releasing another A-series phone even after its announcement of the Samsung Galaxy A14 at CES 2023. The launch event has been announced on Samsung's official website for India, which was set to happen on January 18th.

Conflicting Leaks and Launch Details

Speculations were formed with teh launch of Galaxy A54 when the website announced the features of the phone to be launched but not the phone model itself. This includes a Full HD 120Hz display with a 6.6-inch screen, three cameras, and 8 GB RAM.

There are still details that don't match the A54. It is said to be a 6.4-inch FHD+ with a 120Hz OLED screen, 6 GB to 8 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB storage, and a 5,000 mAh battery. It may also have a 50 MP camera, a 12 MP ultrawide camera, and a 5MP sensor.

So far 8 GB of RAM, a Full Hd 120 Hz display, and three cameras matched the description, except for the 6.6-inch display that was indicated on the website. The Galaxy A34 could also be the mystery model, but it also doesn't match as it is rumored to have a 90 Hz display.

Other than that, the phone was revealed to have three options for colors. There's black, burgundy, and Green, according to Android Authority. Although it will be announced first in India, the phone is expected to be sold globally.

Samsung at CES 2023

It's unclear as to why Samsung decided not to announce the mystery phone at the CES 2023 event, but it could be so the spotlight would be solely focused on the new Galaxy A14, a phone with great specs that won't cost as much as Samsung's flagship line.

The new model comes with Android 13, a 6.6-inch display, and a 90 Hz refresh rate, according to Digital Trends. It has a resolution of 720p and an LCD panel as well. It features a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and Bluetooth 5.2 for a more wireless experience.

It has a decent camera setup too, with a 50 MP main camera, and two other shooters at 2 MP. If you burn through its 5,000 mAh battery fast enough, you can quickly charge it with 15-watt fast charging cable. It can be purchased by January 12th for $200.

They also launched a whole line of new 4K Micro LED TVs at the event, which includes a 140-inch model. Other options include the 50, 63, 76, 89, 101, and 114-inch. It shows that Samsung released a TV that is almost three times bigger than the smallest in the line.

According to Sam Mobile, the TV line launched by Samsung will be divided into two categories, which are the CX and non-CX models. The difference between them would be the refresh rate with one being at 240Hz and the other being at 120Hz, respectively.

Other than the CX models having a multiview functionality, it will also feature six HDMI inputs, of which four can all be used at the same time. Reports say that the HDMI inputs might be based on HDMI 2.1 configuration.
