Watch Dogs Legion: 7 Things You Should Know Before You Play

Watch Dogs Legion can easily make it to someone's top ten open-world RPGs. It has all the elements of a tech game you could ask for like hacking, AI, hi-tech gadgets, and more. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind to get ahead in the game quicker.

1. Play Through the Main Campaign First

Well, don't finish it all the way. Just a few main missions so you can get used to the controls in the game. You will also be able to unlock operatives with certain skills, vehicles, and weapons. It will also help you navigate through the gigantic map. After that, you can do as many side missions as you want.

2. The Game Has Fast Travel

Like most open-world games with huge maps, Watch Dogs Legion has fast travel locations that will save you a lot of time to get from point A to point B. It works the same way as other games where you have to wander around to unlock the points.

It's easy to miss this feature since the game barely mentions it, but it is there. You'll find them in subway stations (or tubes since it's in London), as mentioned by Kotaku. The icon is a circle with a line in the middle, as seen above in the photo.

3. Scanning People is a Must

If you press the button that lets you view the data on certain individuals, you'll see the skills and perks that come with them. For instance, some of them have the ability to download data faster, which you'll be doing for some missions in the game.

There's also the perk where potential recruits have uniforms to go undetected in on certain missions. There will be restricted areas in the game, and when you have access to uniforms that allow you to blend in, it'll make your life a whole lot easier.

4. Spider Bot, Spider Bot

Having a personal spider bot is one of the things you need to prioritize. Other than its ability to hack technology that requires physical interactions, you can also use it to hack computers from a distance so you won't have to risk getting caught.

Once your spider bot is fully upgraded, it will be able to double jump, run faster, take down enemies, and even turn invisible. You'll be happy you have that tiny robot once you start encountering turrets and hard-to-beat guards.

You'll learn early on in the game that you can hijack cameras, and you'll be able to do more than just scan through the surroundings. You can actually use it to arm traps within the area. Of course, you can always just arm them yourselfs when you're close enough. It will help you eliminate guards and avoid combat.

6. Find Tech Points to Upgrade Your Gear

You can find Tech Points all over the map, and they're not hard to find since it's the only bright green icon on there. You'll also earn them for finishing missions, and you will need every last point to upgrade your gadgets, as suggested by Game Spot. Upgraded tech will be very helpful once missions start becoming more difficult.

7. Cargo Drones Are Your Magic Carpet

There are a lot of drones floating about in the game, but there are huge ones called cargo drones that you can actually ride. They will be marked with icons that appear like small squares. It will help you acquire certain items on rooftops, which will be hard to get to sometimes. All you have to do is hitch a ride and hack the drone.
