Amnesia: The Bunker System Requirements Revealed — Can You Run It?

The time has come to know if your PC can run the next Amnesia game.

Frictional Games quietly released the PC system requirements for Amnesia: The Bunker, helping potential players determine what they need to do to run the game smoothly.

The video game developer previously announced it was delaying the game's release to May 16 following a "tough winter" that forced the company to do what it did.

Amnesia: The Bunker PC System Requirements Details

Amnesia: The Bunker's page on Steam recently received an update displaying the game's system requirements for the PC. According to the webpage, the minimum hardware players need to run the game is an Intel Core i3 or AMD FX 2.4Ghz processor and 4GB of RAM. As for graphics, the game requires players to have an OpenGL 4.0, Nvidia GTX460, AMD Radeon HD 5750, or an Intel HD630 GPU.

Meanwhile, for players to run the game with the best graphics and performance, they'll need an Intel Core i5 or Ryzen 5 processor and 8GB of RAM. They'll also need an OpenGL 4.3, Nvidia GTX 680, AMD Radeon RX 580, or an Intel Xe-HPG GPU.

Regardless of the hardware, the game requires at least a Windows 7 or later OS running at 64 bits and 35GB of available space. Interestingly, the game's system requirements match the ones needed to properly run Amnesia: Rebirth, the latest Amnesia game Frictional Games released.

Based on the system requirements Frictional Games released, players won't need to invest in the latest PC hardware to run the game. However, they do need PC hardware that can pack a proper punch if they want the game to perform at its best, per Game Rant.

To put things in simpler terms, if you can run Amnesia: Rebirth on your device without issue, you're good to go.

Regardless, the game won't be the reason why players will be breaking the bank to just play the game, though that 35GB available space requirement might cause some worry for players with old PCs and laptops.

This rather large memory requirement may mean that while the game's system requirements are humble enough for players with old devices who might play the game, the amount of content it comes with is sure to keep them entertained for a long time.

Amnesia: The Bunker Details

Amnesia: The Bunker is the next game of the Amnesia series and is the indirect sequel to the series' first game, Amnesia: The Dark Descent.

The game features Henri Clement, a French soldier during World War 1 left behind by his battalion and trapped inside an abandoned military bunker, per Gamepress. However, he is not alone as a deadly creature haunts the bunker's corridors looking for its next meal.

To escape the bunker, players must navigate the bunker's maze-like layout using all their skills and resources to avoid various traps and hazards while outsmarting and outrunning the creature. However, it will also adapt to players' playstyle, presenting an ever-present threat to the player at every turn.

The game revolves around players' choices, creating "an emergent gameplay experience" in a sandbox horror survival setting.
