A new support hero is coming to League of Legends.

Riot Games recently revealed the background and abilities of Milio, a support champion and the company's newest addition to LoL's champion roster.

Milio, along with the other contents of LoL's patch 13.6, is expected to come to the game on Mar. 22, per Esports.net.

Milio, LoL's upcoming support champion, is a young boy from a remote village on the border of Inxtal, per Games Press. Born from a family of exiles, he acquired a unique way of seeing the world, which he used to master the fire axiom to help and heal others.

However, his ambition to return his family to their former glory within the Yun Tal proved too great an idea for the young boy - it motivated him to leave the comfort of his village and venture off into the Ixtal wilds, unaware of what lies ahead of him in the capital of Ixaocan.

As a master of healing fire, Milio managed to create an eternal flame that kept burning within his furnasita, a backpack he made to contain the fire. Interestingly, Milio's eternal flame takes the shape of an anthropomorphic fire, which he calls his "Fuemigo."

Milio can pull smaller versions of his fuemigo from his furnasita backpack and use them as an extension of his magic, though his use of his flame is less rigid due to him being self-taught when compared to someone who has formal training like Qiyana.

However, the official League of legends website mentioned that Milio did receive some form of formal training through his grandmother, Lupé, an elemental master that was once part of the Yun Tal.

Unfortunately, Milio's grandmother found Milio inadequate - he couldn't grasp the rules and rigidity of the axiomata despite a promising start since he took to the elements naturally.

Some of Milio's fuemigos keep Milio company since he is far from home, with the young boy imbuing aspects of his family members' personalities into them, even talking to them as if they were family.

Milio's Abilities

Dexerto mentioned that while many LoL players aren't looking forward to playing as a support due to their low damage output and DPS, Milio's visual identity and storyline is more than enough to get excited about.

A leaker managed to reveal Milio's abilities before Rio Games did, per Sportskeeda.

According to the leak, Milio's Q ability, "Ultra Mega Fire Kick," launches one of his fuemigos forward, creating a small area that stuns in the center while slowing nearby enemies when it successfully hits one.

Veteran LoL players will find this ability to be a similar but smaller version of Leona's ultimate ability, allowing players using Milio to peel off divers and allow them to poke in lane.

Meanwhile, his W ability, "Cozy Campfire," creates a zone that heals allies and increases the attack range and speed of those inside. It also follows allies around in a similar fashion to Viktor's ultimate.

As for Milio's E ability, "Warm Hugs," it creates a shield that blocks damage and temporarily increases their movement speed - an ability that players could use for helping critically wounded ally champions escape an engagement or help them safely chase down a running enemy.

Last but not least is Milio's R ability or ultimate, "Breath of Life." Using it makes Milio unleash a wave of flames that heal and remove crowd control effects from allies within its range, such as suppression and the effects of Urgot's ultimate.
