Moto G specs confirmed by Motorola promo card

Motorola is planning a holiday promotion that will include the company's yet-to-be-announced budget Moto G smartphone. The company's holiday-themed promotional card has leaked confirming its specs.

The company plans on attacking the low-end smartphone market with the its upcoming Moto G. The smartphone first leaked on Motorola's site a few days ago and now we get a much better look at the unannounced handset.

A holiday-themed promotional card that was intended for a Phones4u store has hit the web courtesy of GSMArena, showing off the Moto G by Motorola. The promo card reveals the smartphone's spec listing and confirms that it is a mid-range offering.

The Moto G will feature a 4.5-inch 1280 x 720 display with an edge-to-edge design covered in Gorilla Glass to give it extra protection. It will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean when it's released, will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and include 8GB of internal storage. Motorola will pack in a 5-megapixel rear camera that can record 720p HD video and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. The company is expected to ship the handset with a 1,950 mAh battery. There is no mention of how much RAM the smartphone will pack or if it will include a microSD expansion slot.

Motorola is expected to officially announce the Moto G in the coming days, just in time for the very important holiday season. The Moto G could be a hit with consumers looking to get a decent smartphone at a very low price . The Moto G is expected to retail at an attractive price point of $215 unsubsidized.

The Moto G is rumored to take on some of the customizable features of its larger sibling, the Moto X. Motorola will reportedly release interchangeable back panels to allow users to change the look of the handset.

While it looks like the Moto G will land with Jelly Bean, KitKat support should be added shortly after launch, now that Motorola's parent company just released its latest version of Android. Motorola has already confirmed KitKat is coming to the Moto X and its latest DROIDs on Verizon.

We'll update you on more Moto G details as they become available.
