Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on sale for $199.99

If you've been thinking about taking the phablet plunge with a top-notch Samsung device, Amazon is offering the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $199.99 when signing a new 2-year contract.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 just started shipping in October and it's proving to be a very popular smartphone. Samsung recently announced that it shipped more than 5 million Galaxy Note 3s since it launched the device.

The Galaxy Note 3 picks up where the Note 2 left off and offers users a larger 5.7-inch 1080p Full HD display and a powerful 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. Samsung has also greatly improved upon the features of the S Pen, which allows you to write in your own handwriting and the Galaxy Note 3 will automatically convert your handwriting into text. The phablet's camera has also been greatly enhanced and now includes a 13-megapixel shooter with Smart Stabilization and improved LED flash that allows you to capture amazing images even in low light conditions.

Amazon is now offering the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for $199.99, which allows for considerable savings over the $299.99 Verizon is charging online and in its retail stores.

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a 5.7-inch 1080p Full HD Super AMOLED display with a pixel density of 386 pixels per inch (ppi) and runs Android 4.3 with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top. It is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, an Adreno 330 graphics processing unit (GPU) and 3GB of RAM. Its camera capabilities include a 13-megapixel illuminated rear camera with "smart stabilization" and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, with both cameras able to record 1080p HD video.

The Galaxy Note 3 includes 32GB of internal storage and has a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 64GB microSD cards. Its wireless connectivity options consist of a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC, and an IR blaster to turn the Note 3 into a universal remote control and also features a dedicated program guide. Samsung has packed a large 3,200 mAh removable battery and enhanced S Pen functionality, and has also ditched its usually glossy plastic back case on the Note 3. Instead, the company decided to go for a faux-leather back that makes the phablet feel better and more secure in the hand and also has more of a premium look to it.

You can pick up the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from Amazon for $199.99 when signing a new 2-year contract. The retailer is also including free two-day shipping with the order.
