Leaked image reveals Verizon HTC One Max price

The HTC One max phablet just made its U.S. debut with Sprint and a new leaked image shows the smartphone will also launch on Verizon for $299.99.

When HTC launched the HTC One, it got support from AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile to offer the smartphone to customers. Verizon was noticeably absent and its customers began to voice their desire for the carrier to offer the HTC One. The carrier gave in and launched the HTC One in August. Verizon isn't going to take the same approach when it comes to the HTC One Max, as a leaked image now reveals that Big Red will offer the phablet for $299.99 when signing a new 2-year contract.

HTC Source posted an image that was shown at a Verizon concept store event. Verizon hasn't officially announced that it will offer the HTC One Max, but the image shows that the carrier plans on selling the phablet for $299.99 when signing a new 2-year contract or $24.99 per month through Verizon EDGE.

The HTC One Max features a 5.9-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD display, runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and uses a new version of HTC's UI, Sense 5.5. HTC has opted to use a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with 2GB of RAM to keep things running smoothly. The device will include 32GB of internal storage and users will be able to add more memory through the phablet's microSD expansion slot. HTC is also including 50GB of free Google Drive storage space.

The handset also features an HTC UltraPixel rear camera that can record Full HD video and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. Its wireless connectivity options include 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE (low energy), GPS, and NFC. HTC ships the One Max with a non-removable 3,300 mAh battery.

There's no word on when Verizon will start offering the HTC One Max, but this newly-leaked image suggests that the carrier will not take as long as it did with the HTC One. This time around, Verizon is expected to offer the HTC One Max in a more timely fashion. We'll keep you updated when more details become available.
