Verizon HTC One on sale for a penny
With Black Friday upon us, Amazon is now selling the Verizon HTC One for a penny compared to Verizon's $149.99.
The HTC One will go down as one of the best smartphone's of 2013. HTC delivered a handset that checks off all of the boxes in a high-end smartphone spec sheet, as it has what many consider to match Apple in terms of design with its sleek anodized aluminum case and 4.7-inch Full HD scratch resistant display. The HTC One is also on the list of devices confirmed to receive an update to Android 4.4 KitKat.
HTC makes Android more user friendly through its Sense 5.5 user interface (UI), similar to Samsung's TouchWiz UI. It also has a feature called BlinkFeed which brings all of your favorite sites, news sources, social networks and more to your home screen. HTC has also put special attention on the smartphone's sound quality. It ships with Beats Audio and dual front-facing stereo speakers with HTC BoomSound.
A new deal from Amazon is offering the Verizon HTC One for $0.01 when signing a new 2-year contract, which is allows for considerable savings over Verizon's $149.99 price.
The HTC One features a 4.7-inch 1080 x 1920 Full HD Super LCD 3 display that is also scratch-resistant. It ships with Android 4.1.2 but will be updated to Android 4.4 KitKat by the end of January, according to HTC. The company has used a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor and 2GB of RAM, which makes HTC Sense run very smoothly.
HTC is using its own UltraPixel rear camera, which employs its own dedicated chip to take the best photos, regardless of the situation, and also has the ability to record 1080p video. When it comes to wireless connectivity, the HTC One has a 4G LTE radio, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC. The power button also acts as an IR blaster, turning the smartphone into a universal remote with an always up-to-date program guide. HTC ships the handset with a non-removable 2,300 mAh battery.
You can order the silver Verizon HTC One from Amazon for just one penny when signing a new 2-year contract. The retailer is also including free shipping with the purchase.
