Apple's Tap To Pay on iPhone Now Available in U.K.

Apple's Tap to Pay on iPhone is finally available in the United Kingdom (U.K.)

Following a year gap between the United States first dibs on the feature, Apple is now set to help merchants in the U.K. to accept Apple Pay and other contactless payments using iPhone and a partner-enabled IOS app.

Apple reported that, "Revolut and Tyl by NatWest are the first payment platforms to offer Tap to Pay on iPhone to their U.K. business customers, with Adyen, Dojo, myPOS, Stripe, SumUp, Viva Wallet, Worldline, and Zettle by PayPal coming soon."

Tap to Pay on iPhone Features

This iPhone feature will let merchants from small business to large retailers to securely accept Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets.

"Small and medium-sized businesses have long played a vital role in the U.K. economy, and alongside payment platforms, app developers, and payment networks, we're making it easier than ever for U.K. businesses to seamlessly accept contactless payments and continue to grow their business," Vice President of Apple Pay and Apple Wallet Jennifer Bailey explained.

Tap to Pay is available through supporting iOS app on iPhones from Xs onwards.

Apple Working Toward Better Payment Platform App

Apple is currently working with leading payment platforms and app developers to fully improve the commerce industry through Tap to Pay.

"Aspiring entrepreneurs just need a good business idea and an iPhone to start getting paid - enabling a whole new wave of opportunities," NatWest chief payments officer, Mark Brant stated.

Tap to Pay on iPhone will also work with American Express, Mastercard, and Visa.
