Fortnite Introduces 'Futurama' Outfits, Weapons in Latest Update

The futuristic world of "Futurama" is coming to Fortnite.

Epic Games recently announced that it is bringing Fry, Leela, and Bender to its Fortnite Battle Royale game, along with other improvements and additional features.

All Futurama-related items and outfits are now available in Fortnite's Item Shop.

Fortnite x 'Futuram'a

Epic Games mentioned in its announcement that it is bringing Fry, Leela, and Bender to Fortnite as three new outfits for players to wear on the field. These outfits are called the Bender Bending Rodríguez Outfit, Philip J. Fry Outfit, and the Turanga Leela Outfit.

Each of these outfits comes with matching accessories to really help players feel they're playing as these characters. For Bender, his outfit includes the Universe 1 Bender alt Stylt and the Ben Rodriguez Back Bling.

Bender's Unbendable Girder Pickaxe is also available in the shop, giving players a new skin for their pickaxe.

Fry's outfit comes with the Universe 1 Fry alt style, Hypnotoad Back Bling, and Giant Nutcracker Pickaxe. Leela's outfit includes the Universe 1 Leela alt style, Nibbler Back Bling, and the Solid Gold Fiddle Pickaxe.

Aside from these outfits, Epic Games also added the Planet Express Ship Glider and the Zoidberg Scuttle Emote in the item shop for a more immersive feel. Last but not least, Bender's Shiny Metal Raygun can be found from the ground or Bender himself if a player has the Bars.

While players equipping this firearm can fire an infinite supply of plasma with this weapon (susceptible to overheating), it will only remain available until v.25.30 - players should enjoy it while they still can.

Fortnite Additions

Aside from the Futurama crossover additions, Epic Games is also adding a few new weapons and Reality Augments to help players up their game. For example, the new Mammoth Pistol, a large-caliber, single-shot pistol, is big and powerful because it uses heavy ammo. As such, it can deliver massive amounts of damage if a player using it lands a shot.

This pistol can be found in the Wilds, but it is also possible to find it across the whole Island through the ground, Chests, Holo-Chests, or a flying drone.

To help with the wielding of the Mammoth Pistol, Epic Games added the Pistol Recycle and Desperate Reload Reality Augments to give players new abilities while using the weapon.

The former Reality Augment gives players the chance to fire the Mammoth Pistol without it using ammo, while the latter one allows players to reload it faster with an empty clip.

Epic Games also added one scoped weapon-related Reality Augment in the form of Scoped Salvo, which players can activate to give players wielding scoped weapons increased damage but decreased fire rate.

Lastly, Epic Games unvaulted the Lever Action Shotgun, which players can find from the ground, regular and Rare Chests, Holo-Chests, a flying drone, or from claiming a point of interest. However, the game developer had to make the Maven Auto Shotgun only obtainable from Characters to offset the Lever Action Shotgun's unvaulting.
