Apple Watch to Celebrate 10 Years

Apple first released its watch line last April 2025 and was able to sold over 100 million Apple Watch as of December 2022. Last year, Apple debuted the Watch Ultra that is built as an ultimate sports companion.

While Apple is set to unveil the Apple Watch Series 9 and latest iPhone on September 12, the Apple Watch X might have to wait for its 10th year anniversary. The Watch Series 9 will only have its minor upgrades such as faster processors and new colors.

Ever since Apple Watch hit the the stores, the company is known for delivering minor updates on a yearly basis. For Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the 2023 model might be the "most minor upgrade" in Apple Watch history.

According to Gurman's report, the Watch X will feature a thinner watch case. In addition, the development team have explored new ways on how bands are attached to the device. For instance, a new magnetic band attachment system might be used for the new model. However, this remains to be a mystery for now.

On the other hand, a microLED display is set to appear on the new model, promising more clarity than the current OLED screens. Additionally, a blood pressure monitoring technology will be added to the watch's function to promote its health assistance feature.
