Samsung Will Soon Bring One UI Updates to Older Devices

Samsung recently announced that One UI 5.1.1 update will be rolling out soon across its latest devices and previous generation devices.

Compatible Devices to One UI Update 

The upcoming One UI update is set to bring improvements to various Samsung devices. The One UI is the Samsung's custom UI sitting atop Android. 

According to Engadget, Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 are scheduled to get the update starting this month. Meanwhile, the Z Fold 3, Z Flip 3, Z Fold 2, and Z Flip users would have to wait for a later  release. 

Moreover, the update will also be seen on Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+Tab S8 Ultra, Tab S7, Tab S7+, Tab S7 FE, Tab S6 Lite, Tab A8, Tab A7 Lite, Tab Active 3 and Tab Active 4 Pro. Lastly, it will also be available for the Galaxy Watch 5, Watch 5 ProWatch 4 and Watch 4 Classic.

One UI 5.1.1 Updated Features 

For foldable phones, the new UI will bring a Flex Mode Panel where the control will appear on the bottom half of the screen if the phone is semi-folded. A media play bar button is also added as  well as fast forward and rewind buttons in the panel. 

For tablets and foldables, a multi-window can now be activated upon the update, making multitasking an easier and faster for the users. The Z Fold 4 and Tab S8 taskbar are also set to be faster and will include more recent app preview.

For Galaxy Watch series, a Heart Rate Zone feature can analyze your physical abilities and help you achieve your listed personal goals. A Track Run feature will record your running track. 

Other updates also include access to GPX File Database and a pairing control between Flip 4's camera and Galaxy Watch.
