Activision Reveals Call of Duty Modern Warfare III Gameplay Details

Call of Duty Modern Warfare III (CWIII) could also be a great single-player Rainbow Six game.

Activision recently revealed the gameplay details of CWIII to the public, including the various editions and pre-order benefits they could get.

Activision will sell CWIII for $70 due to the company designating the game as a Premium release.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare III Gameplay Details

Activision mentioned in its announcement that MWIII's campaign will be unlike any other Call of Duty game. The game, which is a direct sequel to Call of Duty Modern Warfare II (CWII), is set to deliver typical Call of Duty missions and free-form Open Combat Missions (OCM).

These OCMs give players the freedom to choose their approach as they join Captain Price and Task Force 141 against Vladimir Makarov. They could use night-vision goggles and suppressed weapons to complete the objective stealthily, or go in guns blazing with all the hardware they have - firearms and armor included.

Players can also use any operable vehicle with the area of operations and maneuver across the game's sizable landscape to approach objectives however they like. So long as it gets the job done.

Not every mission will depend on player choice, though, as previously stated. CWIII will also let players experience the typical action-packed Call of Duty missions the series is known for.

MWIII's multiplayer mode will feature modernized versions of all 16 launch maps from CW2. The company even built CWIII's Al Mazrah from the ground up based on CWII's designs.

Activision also made these maps playable on 3v3, 6v6, and 3v3v3 matches. In addition to these maps, Activision also included four huge environments for players to enjoy.

These environments include three brand-new Battle Maps and a single, "colossal" War map. The battle maps are large-scale locations where MWIII's Ground War and Invasion game modes will be fought, while its single colossal War Map will host War mode.

CWIII will also see the return of the Zombies mode absent since Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War. The game mode allows players to team up with other squads to survive in an open-world PvE extraction survival experience against "some of the biggest enemies in Call of Duty history."

Activision revealed that CWIII would be available for purchase on PlayStation and Xbox consoles and the PC via Battle.net and Steam on Nov. 10. The game will have two editions for players to choose from: the standard and the vault edition; pre-ordering either brings certain rewards.

The Standard edition comes with early access to open beta, the Soap operator pack, and the ability to play the game a week early. Meanwhile, the Vault edition has everything the Standard edition has along with the Nemesis Operator Pack, two weapon vaults, and 30 additional Tier Skips on the Blackcell battle pass.

The standard edition will cost players $70, while the Vault edition has a $99.99 price tag attached to it.

CWII is now available for pre-ordering.
