New Mini Cooper EV Debuts Circular OLED on Dashboard

The upcoming 2025 Mini Cooper EV will feature a remarkable central OLED display in front of the dashboard as the company recently revealed.

From Rectangle to Circle OLED Dashboard Screen 

Mini introduced the new big and round OLED touchscreen, called as the MINI Interaction Unit, as part of its new digital heart for its new models. The MINI Interaction Unit features are meant to provide great user experience and comfort with the help of the MINI Operating System 9. 

The updated operating system will allow the vehicle to function through touch or voice control. Moreover, it was designed closer to the driver for easier reach and convenience. 

Mini shared that the upper area of the screen will contain the speed and battery status. Meanwhile, widgets are displayed from left to right of the current menu function. On the lower portion, navigation, media, phone, and climate features can be selected and viewed any time.

Aside from the new rounded screen, Mini also revamped its toggle bar which includes important driving functions such as parking brake, gear selector, start/stop key, experience mode toggle, and volume control. 

In addition, the company teased the fans with the dashboard and door panel designed with knitted surfaces. Mini is very particular on showcasing the light projections through the surface. 

Lastly, Mini announced its first ever voice assistant called, MINI Intelligent Personal assistant. The assistant can be activated by simple saying, "Hey, MINI" or through the push-to-talk button on the wheel. The assistant can do certain tasks such as dialing for a phone call and such.
