Meta Verified for Businesses

Meta launched its verification services for Instagram and Facebook users earlier this year. However, the service was not opened to business accounts. Since March, single accounts are paying $27.99 per month for mobile sign-ups and $21.99 if purchased via web.

On the other hand, the business accounts can bundle their Instagram and Facebook verification for $34.99 per month upon signing up via web. This means that the businesses will be paying $12 to $15 more per month compared to individual accounts.

According to Meta, the WhatsApp verification will be packed with additional benefits such as multi-device support for customer chats. In addition, businesses can also create a page that will appear in web-based search results. Meta has not announced the price of verification for WhatsApp.

Meta's Stricter Processing

Meta will be requiring business to provide proof of association with the business which could be done via phone number or email domain. In addition, subscribers are required to put two-factor authentication. Business will also have to meet a certain level of activity.

The business verification of Meta will start rolling out on some "select test countries." Currently, the company has declined to name the specific locations.
