Netflix is Releasing Four New Games This September

Netflix entered the gaming industry back in 2023, and there have been a lot of titles since. While the company hasn't exactly been successful in it, they aren't doing so badly either. For September, the streaming service plans to release more titles, two of which are based on TV shows.

Currently, Netflix already has 74 mobile games under its belt. A lot of them are based on actual movies and TV shows like the two upcoming titles such as Tomb Raider Reloaded, Stranger Things: 1984, Spongebob: Get Cooking, Narcos: Cartel Wars Unlimited, and more.

Netflix Stories: Love is Blind

The game is mainly an interactive story that lets the player make choices that will determine the narrative. It's based on the show with the same title, "Love is Blind." As the player, you will take on the role of the newest contestant on the LA Edition of the reality show.

You will enter dating pods and interact with your dates. Like all the titles that will be listed, the game will be a Netflix Exclusive. It was developed by Boss Fight as well as Netflix's own game studio. It will be an addition to the streaming service's already existing Netflix Stories app.

Storyteller

Although it's a simple game, it's quite engaging as the player decides the fates of the characters by dragging and dropping them into the storybook's pages. At first, it will be blank, but the character placement will "fill it with tales of romance, magic, adventure, and intrigue."

Some of the elements you can add in each panel in the story books include characters as well as actions and backgrounds. With all those combinations, players can create several scenarios in the game from Annapurna Interactive, also known for making the cat game Stray.

Vikings: Valhalla

The game will also be based on another hit Netflix show of the same title. Developed by Tilting Point and Emerald City Games, players will build their own settlement and grow it into a functioning community, as well as recruit and lead warbands.

Although it's not just simply building and expanding the settlement. Players will also have to lead raids and strategize on which characters will best fit the campaigns. There will also be raids directed at your home, so you'll have to be prepared for that too.

Ghost Detective

The title is Netflix's take on a murder mystery game, wherein players will go into the role of a detective who has been killed and is trying to solve her own murder as a ghost. To do so, players are tasked to look for hidden objects and solve puzzles.

The game is set in New Orleans, and the character will have to team up with allies to progress, both with the living and the dead. There are parts of the game where the player will have to pick between actions to determine how the story will unfold.

There will be various levels within the game which are based on the in-game locations in New Orleans on the map. Below the screen, objects will be listed for the players to find. Once that's done, they will have to connect the clues to move forward.
