Samsung's Exclusive Cloud Gaming Platform for Galaxy Phones

The report showed that Samsung's new gaming platform will allow its Galaxy users to enjoy games in real-time without the need to use game consoles or having to download game apps. The beta version of cloud gaming is being tested in the United States and Canada.

While Samsung has no plans to charge additional subscription fees to users, Galaxy users might have to pay fees to use cloud gaming services like Nvidia's GeForce Now or other popular games through the platform. This is still considered a very small fee compared to buying a gaming console which usually costs around $400 or more.

Last year, Samsung made a stunt by launching a gaming TV hub alongside Xbox, Stadia, GeForce Now, and Amazon Luna. Its release paved the way for easier and more accessible gaming as users can use their Bluetooth headsets and controllers with the Samsung Gaming Hub. This year, Samsung might be pushing its luck by offering the same principle to its Galaxy phones.

Samsung Explores Ways to Gain Profits

It is no secret that Samsung has been struggling in the market. The company reported a 95 percent drop in profits for the second quarter of the year. The company data also showed that it was Samsung's lowest profit for any quarter since the first quarter of 2009.

The revenue decline was attributed directly to the decreasing prices of memory chips. However, the company is hoping that its investment in memory chips will eventually pay off in increased market dominance in 2025.

Experts have been speculating that Samsung is now exploring a new business move in order to raise stable profits without fully relying on its device sales. The launch of cloud gaming platform could be a win-win situation both for Samsung and other gaming companies.
