Netflix House: A Place for Fans

According to a Bloomberg report, the destinations will be called "Netflix House" which will feature a blend of retail, dining, and live experiences. Netflix's VP of consumer products Josh Simon also shared that they are planning to build the first two in the U.S. by 2025 before expanding the concept globally.

Netflix House will be the company's first permanent destination venture. For years, the company has been building pop-up fan experiences around the world. In fact, Netflix built 40 in 20 cities around the world.

The company plans to have Netflix House a rotating installations such as ticket shows based on popular series and restaurants that will sell food from unscripted shows. The food and drinks will have various ranges from casual burgers and fries to fine dining and wines.

Netflix's Ideation with Netflix House

It is not new that a media company will establish a destination based on its shows. For almost a century, Disney was able to establish itself from its shows to its themed parks. Netflix hopes that the Netflix House will be an effective way to promote its titles and reach more fans.

"We've seen how much fans love to immerse themselves in the world of our movies and TV shows, and we've been thinking a lot about how we take that to the next level," Simon stated in an interview.

Other details for the Netflix House are still unknown to the public as Simon declined to provide more details on its features. He explained that the final decisions have not been made for now. Currently, the company is still scouting for potential locations.

On the other hand, fans can watch out for pop-up experiences that Netflix might open following its success in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and more.
