Popular Steam Game Core Keeper is Finally Coming to Nintendo Switch

After one year since its initial release, Core Keeper is officially landing on Nintendo Switch sometime in the summer of 2024.

Nintendo Indie World Showcase Features Core Keeper 

During the recently concluded Indie World Showcase, Nintendo announced that the multiplayer survival sim game will be joining its indie game lineup for next year. Core Keeper is an open-world adventure that allows up to eight players to work together. 

During their journey, the players will be exposed to an endless cavern of creatures, relics, and resources in a mining sandbox. In addition, they are also asked to mine, build, fight, craft, and farm in order to survive. 

While the exact release date is still under wraps, Pugstorm and Fireshine Games promised that they are all as excited as the players for the release. Since 2022, the game has been released on Steam under Early Access, next year the game will be hitting on Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. 

What to Expect With Core Keeper Console Version 

"After a vibrant Early Access phase, we are excited to unveil the complete game," the announcement stated. The game was warmly welcomed by the gaming community as it already gained two million downloads. The game has also been under four major content updates, several minor updates, and multiple events that spanned from seasonal to crossovers. 

According to Pugstorm, the console version will feature all content both from the Early Access phase and the 1.0 update. Moreover, it seems that there will still be surprising updates for the console version in the coming months. The company also hinted at an upcoming physical edition of the game. 

"It's been an incredible journey from the early access release to this point, and looking ahead to the Core Keeper 1.0 launch on consoles and PC next year feels like we are on the cusp of something even greater," Pugstorm CEO and game director Fredrik Präntare shared.
