'Black Mirror' Season 7 Production

Earlier this year, "Black Mirror" returned after its four-year hiatus for its sixth season. The recent installment received good feedback from its audience, reaching Netflix's Top 10 in over 92 countries.

The announcement came after Netflix France accidentally tweeted that the show is coming for another season along with the fourth season of  "Love, Death, & Robots."

The production will reportedly start sometime this year with Charlie Brooker, Annabel Jones, and Jessica Rhodes returning as the executive producers. However, no additional details have been spilled yet.

'Black Mirror' So Far

The iconic comeback of Season 6 featured stories and actors such as Salma Hayek, Aaron Paul, and Josh Hartnett. Season 5 was also Hollywood-packed from Miley Cyrus to Anthony Mackie.

Hopefully, fans will not have to wait another four years before the seventh season. According to Variety, the issue of the show's rights was part of the reason why Seasons 5 and 6 got delayed. With Banijay Rights licensing the show to Netflix, fans are hoping that it will be a smoother production calendar for the new season.

"Black Mirror" is famously known for its depiction of the future and how it would play out in the most unexpected ways. In Season 6, the show opened with the topic of AI, which is a very timely topic for this year.

"I worry for a living - it's generally what I do- and I'm very worried about AI and the use of ChatGPT and things like that," Brooker shared to Variety during the London rally as part of the support for the writers' strike.
